I've spent hours looking at rocks along the shores of Lake Michigan. I am often drawn to stones which appear opaque and yet when I look more closely I can see the quartz crystal where the light comes through. I am reminded of the times in my life when everything appears solid and then I glimpse a moment of a new way of seeing and understanding.
